MANILA, Philippines—Chery Tiggo got back on the winning track sweeping Perlas, 25-10, 27-25, 25-23, in the Premier Volleyball League Open Conference Monday at PCV Socio-Civic Cultural Center in Bacarra, Ilocos Norte.
Jaja Santiago poured in 15 points to lead the Crossovers as they improved to a 3-1 record to take claim of solo third following their five-set loss to BaliPure.
The Spikers meanwhile dropped to 0-2.
While he’s satisfied with the win, Chery Tiggo head coach Aaron Velez said there are still areas that they need to improve on.
“Definitely I am happy, it’s still a different thing when you win, but we have so many things to fix,” said Velez. “The loss was a learning experience but that’s done already so we just have to take it as a learning experience.”
“We just have to move forward given that we’re practically playing everyday.”
Shaya Adorador added 12 points to the Crossovers’ offense while Dindin Santiago-Manabat and Arriane Layug pitched in eight and seven points, respectively.
Sue Roces and Nicole Tiamzon had 11 points apiece to lead the Spikers.
