MICHAEL Eala whipped Aljohn Talatayod, 4-0, 4-1 to move within a win of keeping his 10-unisex crown and Samantha Coyiuto thwarted Patricia Paez, 6-3, 6-2, yesterday to advance to the girls’ 18-and-under final in the First Gen Juntaphil Metro Age Group Tennis Championships at the Rizal Memorial Tennis Center.
The top-seeded Eala sustained his amazing form, dropping just two games in four matches overall, to set up a title duel with Ryotaro Shimomura, who ended Karl Miguel’s giant-killing spree with a 0-4, 5-3, 5-3 victory.
