MANILA, Philippines—Jenelyn Olsim chalked up her second straight win after scoring a unanimous decision victory over Bi Nguyen in the atomweight division in ONE: Battleground 3 Friday at Singapore Indoor Stadium.

Using her combination of striking and grappling, Olsim was able to dictate the flow for all three rounds of the match.

Olsim was quick to her strikes and utilized her muay thai background to chop away at Nguyen whom the Team Lakay product put in a gogoplata.

Nguyen, however, was able to wriggle away from the submission hold and finish the remainder of round one on the ground.

Olsim continued her striking display in the second tagging Nguyen repeatedly on the feet.

Nguyen scored a takedown in the third but it wasn’t enough to push her in the scorecards.

The victory also earned Olsim a spot in the ONE: Empower card next Friday against Grace Cleveland in an alternate bout for the ONE Women’s Atomweight Grand Prix.

Nguyen dropped to 6-7 and has now lost four of her last five.
