MANILA, Philippines—PBA teams have been raring to plunge back into action after month-long hiatus due to the pandemic.

All but one squad will get to resume play this week when the Philippine Cup resumes on Wednesday.

NorthPort will have to wait until next week for its turn due to health and safety reasons.

“The NorthPort Batang Pier basketball team shall not have games this week (Sept. 1-5) in accordance with the league’s health and safety protocols,” the PBA announced Tuesday.

The Batang Pier have had much success so far in the conference, having dropped three of their first four games.

A tripleheader, highlighted by a clash between Meralco and league-leader Magnolia, kicks off the reboot in Bacolor, Pampanga under a semi-bubble setup.

The PBA released its partial schedule Tuesday with Blackwater, TNT, Terrafirma and San Miguel Beer also featured on opening day.
