MANILA, Philippines—Filipino-American Jackie Buntan pushed for her case for the ONE Women’s strawweight Muay Thai title after dominating Daniela Lopez in the Super Series in ONE: Empower Friday at Singapore Indoor Stadium.
Buntan scored the unanimous decision win after dictating the proceedings from the opening round, connecting on leg kicks and repeatedly cracking Lopez’s jaw with three-punch combinations throughout the fight.
Lopez tried to mount her counterattack in the third and final round but all she met were Buntan’s fists.
Buntan then connected with a spinning back elbow in the final seconds just for good measure.
Closing in on a potential championship challenge, Buntan improved her ONE Championship record to 3-0 and 23-5 overall.
