Carlo Biado’s comeback to win the US Open Nine-Ball title lead the top sports newsmakers the past week.

Biado went on a furious rally in the final to become only the second Filipino since 1994 to win the prestigious event.

McLaren’s double celebration at Monza was also among the week’s highlights.

The Philippine Malditas, surging TNT and struggling Barangay Ginebra also made headlines.
