A CRACK at the pound-for-pound list is what Brian Viloria has in mind just two days after successfully retaining his World Boxing Organization flyweight crown.
And the 31-year-old Viloria aims to do it by extending his reign in the division as he disclosed plans not to move up a weight class.
“My goal is to hit the top 10 of the pound-for-pound; I want to be the third Filipino on the list,” said Viloria, who hopes to replicate the international success of Filipino boxing stars Manny Pacquiao and Nonito Donaire.
“But my plan is to stay here [in the flyweight division] for a while,” Viloria added.
Last Sunday, Viloria stopped Mexican Omar Niño Romero in the ninth round to retain his title and improve to 31 wins (18 KOs) against three loses.
“I’m peaking at the right time,” said Viloria.
