MANILA, Philippines—Jack Animam made her presence felt with a dominant debut to lead Radnicki Kragujevac to a close 78-77 win over Proleter 023 in the First Women’s Basketball League of Serbia Saturday.
The 6-foot-5 center out of National University stamped her class with 20 points, 14 rebounds, two steals, and two blocks and converted on a clutch basket to lead her team to victory.
Animam gave Radnicki a 76-71 lead after cleaning up Andrea Glomazic’s miss with half a minute left in the game.
This is her first stint as a professional and second overseas after she played as a graduate student for Shih Hsin University in Taiwan’s University Basketball Association.
Animam and Radnicki will next face defending champion Crvena Zvezda on Saturday.
