MANILA, Philippines—Nagoya captured its first win of the season at the expense of Hiroshima, 87-77, in the B.League Sunday at Dolphins Arena.
The Diamond Dolphins snapped their three-game skid for a 1-3 record in the West Conference but Bobby Ray Parks Jr. struggled as he logged just one point, one rebound, one assist, and one steal in more than 11 minutes of play.
Nagoya took a crucial eight-point lead, 73-65, midway through the fourth after a Coty Clarke jumper capped an 8-2 spurt with 4:37 to play.
Suda Yutaro then gave the Diamond Dolphins an 81-67 lead knocking down a triple with 2:42 to play, completing a quick 8-0 run
Clarke finished with a game-high 21 points with four rebounds, seven assists, and four steals while Scott Eatherton and Harimoto Tenketsu added 17 and 14 points, respectively.
Charles Jackson had 19 points and 11 rebounds for the Dragonflies who dropped their first game of the season for a 3-1 record.
