MANILA, Philippines—Dwight Ramos is finally set to join Toyama after his mandatory quarantine period in Japan to start his maiden Japan B.League season.

The Gilas Pilipinas guard will make his debut this weekend against Nagoya and Bobby Ray Parks Jr. in two consecutive games.

“I’m finally out of quarantine, I’m really excited to join the team and practice with them, meet everybody for the first time, and just be part of Toyama again,” said Ramos in the Grouses’ Twitter post Thursday.

Ramos, one of eight Filipino players in the B.League system, had to undergo the mandatory two-week quarantine period for all foreign players coming into Japan and his first test is to help the Grouses improve on their 0-4 start to the season.

The Grouses, who played against Alvark Tokyo and the Shinsu Brave Warriors, will play the Diamond Dolphins this weekend.

Ramos and Parks will also be playing against each other for the first time.

“I’m really excited for the game this weekend and hopefully everybody can come out and support us this weekend,” said Ramos.
