Alcantara, Garcia top CJ Puno charity golf
MANILA—Rudy Alcantara shot a 78 for a net score of 68 to capture the overall championship while Chito Garcia took the Class A title with a net 70 in the first Chief Justice Puno Golf Cup at Wack Wack’s West course in Mandaluyong last Thursday.
Nino Bandoquillo and Rene Datu also turned in 70s from gross scores of 75 and 77, respectively, but Garcia topped Class A with three birdies against the duo’s two in the event held to raise funds for former CJ Reynato Puno’s 100 million trees project.
Lito Marana made a net 69 to post a two-shot win over Andy Sanchez and Chito Litam, who both had 71s, in Class B of the event presented by San Miguel Corp. and Bank of Commerce and sponsored by ICTSI, Solar Entertainment, Business Mirror, Metro Pacific Tollways Corp. and Wack Wack.

Gabrielle Nichaela Bruce copped the ladies title with a net 70, nipping Charlene Abalos (71), and Samantha Marie Bruce (72).
