MANILA, Philippines—Saitama and Jaja Santiago chalked up their second straight win over Okayama, 25-16, 25-15, 25-22, in the 2021-22 Japan V.League season Sunday at Kasaoka Gymnasium.
The Ageo Medics went through the gauntlet against the Seagulls in their first meeting, 28-30, 26-24, 23-25, 25-13, 15-11, with Santiago putting up 17 points in the season opener.
Santiago, this time, had 10 points for Saitama while Yamagishi Tamari had 14 points. Yuka Sato followed up her 40-point outing on Saturday with 11 points.
Oikawa Mayu had eight points to lead the Seagulls while Nakamoto Yuzu added seven points.
The Ageo Medics play the JT Marvelous next at Higashiyama Gymnasium on Saturday.
