Thirdy Ravena, San-En snap skid at Ibaraki’s expense

MANILA, Philippines—San-En and Thirdy Ravena put a stop to their three-game skid and exacted revenge on Ibaraki, 83-66, in the 2021-22 Japan B.League season Sunday at Kamisu Disaster Prevention Arena.

The NeoPhoenix improved to a 3-5 record while the Robots slid to 1-7.

Robert Carter’s three-point play late in the second period closed a 17-5 run across two quarters that put the NeoPhoenix ahead with a commanding 42-27 lead.

Justin Knox’s jumper then stretched San-En’s advantage to 22, 63-41,  with 2:29 left in the third to cap off a quick 7-0 run that effectively put the game to bed.

Ravena did a little bit of everything for the NeoPhoenix, finishing with seven points, seven rebounds, six assists, and one block.

Elias Harris led San-En with 21 points with seven rebounds, four assists, and two steals.

Eric Jacobsen had 20 points and eight boards for Ibaraki.
