MANILA, Philippines — Javi Gomez de Liaño remains shelved by the Ibaraki Robots in the Japan B.League.
Gomez de Liaño was not part of the Robots’ 11-man lineup against the Mikawa Seahorses, who are currently among the top teams in the league.
The Robots fell to the Seahorses, 81-71, their eighth loss in nine games.
The former University of the Philippines standout just joined Ibaraki late last week after missing ample time including two weeks due to quarantine.
Gomez de Liaño could certainly be of big help for Ibaraki, which is now tied with Toyama at the bottom of the standings with similar 1-8 slates.
Toyama, led by Dwight Ramos’ 20 points, posted its first win of the season following an 82-67 win over Osaka.
