MANILA, Philippines—Jeremy Miado claimed his second straight victory stopping China’s Miao Li Tao 50 seconds into the second round of their strawweight division match in ONE: Next Gen Friday at Singapore Indoor Stadium.

The Filipino striker, who is now training in Thailand, went on an offensive barrage landing punch after punch with Miao failing to counter as he cowered into a ball forcing referee Justin Brown to call a stop to the contest.

Miado dictated the match from the opening bell using his boxing to keep his distance against the natural grappler.

“I was very surprised because I expected that he was gonna shoot but he threw punches with me,” said Miado, who improved his record to 10-4.

In their first meeting, Miado took their first contest after knocking out Miao with a flying knee 3:01 into the first round of their November 16, 2019 fight in Beijing, China.

Miado attempted to have a repeat performance in the first but Miao caught wind of the flying knee and was able to stuff the high-risk strike.

Miao have now lost three straight and dropped to 6-5 card.
