Sultan, who wasn’t able to see action in 2020 because of the COVID-19 pandemic, has won his last two fights–first stopping Salatiel Amit in seven rounds then knocking out Sharone Carter also in the seventh.
This will be Sultan’s first crack at a title since losing to Athenkosi Dumezweni of South Africa in 2019 via unanimous decision.
Sultan has been training with Joven Jimenez and former opponent Jerwin Ancajas, a man he lost to in 2018 when he challenged for the IBF super flyweight belt.
Caraballo, meanwhile, is coming off a fourth round stoppage of Leonardo Baez in March 2021.
