Blazers GM investigated for workplace misconduct—report

The Portland Trail Blazers are investigating president of basketball operations and general manager Neil Olshey for alleged workplace misconduct, The Athletic reported.
The team confirmed Saturday it has hired an outside firm to investigate a workplace matter, but the official statement did not specifically identify Olshey or provide the exact nature of the allegations.
Article continues after this advertisement“The Portland Trail Blazers organization was recently notified of concerns around workplace environment by non-player personnel at the practice facility. In response, we immediately engaged O’Melveny & Myers, an outside firm with significant expertise in this area, to conduct a full, fair and independent review into these concerns and will take appropriate action based on its outcome,” read the team statement.
“While we cannot comment on this pending matter, we are committed to continuing to build an organization that positively impacts our colleagues, communities and the world in which we live and play.”
Olshey did not respond to text messages from The Athletic requesting comment, while team owner Jody Allen declined to comment. Both attended Friday night’s 110-106 victory against the Indiana Pacers.
