MANILA, Philippines — San Miguel Beer has parted ways with its longtime forward Arwind Santos.
The Beermen on Monday traded Santos for NorthPort’s Vic Manuel, as per the PBA on its website.
Santos was an integral piece for San Miguel since he was acquired by the franchise in 2009 from Air21.
The 40-year-old helped the Beermen win nine championships including the 2011 Governors’ Cup and the 2015 Philippine Cup where he was adjudged Finals MVP.
Manuel, 34, was shipped to SMB just 48 hours after being traded by Phoenix to NorthPort.
The Beermen are raring to redeem themselves after they were eliminated by eventual Philippine Cup champions TNT Tropang Giga in a seven-game semifinal last conference.
