MANILA, Philippines—It was a disappointing showing for Kiefer Ravena, Bobby Ray Parks Jr., Kobe Paras, and Javi Gomez de Liaño as their respective teams all lost Saturday in the 2021-22 Japan B.League season.
Shiga and Ravena fell to their fifth straight loss after an 89-62 beating from Shinshu in the West Conference at White Ring in Nagano.
The Lakestars, who had a share of the second seed early on in the season, have now slid to a 6-7 record while the Brave Warriors improved to 8-5.
Ravena struggled against Shinshu as he put up a meager line of four points, on 2-of-7 shooting, one rebound, and three assists.
Matthew Aquino did not play for the Brave Warriors.
Nagoya had its brief winning run get snapped as it lost to Mikawa, 91-79, at Wing Arena Kariya in Aichi.
Parks could not find his footing for the Diamond Dolphins as he finished with four points, on 2-of-4 shooting, five rebounds, and one steal.
The Diamond Dolphins, who had two straight wins prior to the game against the Seahorses, dropped to 7-6 in the West Conference.
Niigata and Paras got subjected to an 88-62 drubbing against Chiba on the Jets’ home floor of Funabashi Arena.
Paras, too, had a rough performance finishing with two points, two rebounds, and two assists for the Albirex BB, who are on a disaster course with nine straight defeats.
Niigata have now fallen to a 2-11 record in the East Conference.
Gomez de Liaño, meanwhile, had his best game of his B.League career but Ibaraki still faltered against Kawasaki, 105-96.
The Robots, who scored an 81-72 win over the Osaka Evessa, dropped to a league and East Conference-worst 2-11 record.
Gomez de Liaño finished with 13 points, five rebounds, and one steal for Ibaraki.
