De Brito an ‘attentive spectator’ in Champs Cup
Brazilian coach Jorge Edson Souza de Brito expects the handful of national pool mainstays who will show up for the Philippine National Volleyball Federation (PNVF) Champions Cup to deliver solid performances for their squads in the tournament scheduled later this month.
The Philippine team mentor said he intends to watch all the games “as an attentive spectator,” and keep an eye on other players outside of the national pool.

The maiden tournament, organized by PNVF, will have Baguio Highlanders, F2 Logistics, Perlas Spikers, Chery Tiggo, California Precision and PetroGazz as competitors in the meet which starts on Nov. 20 in Lipa City.
Teams like Creamline, Choco Mucho and Sta. Lucia Realty—which also have PH players in their rosters—skipped the meet.

He said training of national selection stopped after the Asian Volleyball Confederation Clubs last month but players will continue working out with their respective clubs.
