MANILA, Philippines—Terrafirma is hopeful that Roider Cabrera will make a full recovery after he collapsed on Wednesday during a game in the second leg of PBA 3×3.
In a statement, the Dyip said Cabrera’s family receive continuous medical bulletins regarding the forward’s condition as he’s confined at Medical City.
“He is now in the hospital, getting the best medical treatment and care possible,” wrote Terrafirma. “Terrafirma Dyip management is completely behind his full recovery.”
“Medical bulletins are given directly to his immediate family and we give them the respect and the discretion to whatever they want or may not want to share to the public.”
Cabrera collapsed in Terrafirma’s dugout at Ynares Sports Arena after the team scored two wins over Meralco, 17-14, and Barangay Ginebra, 19-17.
The Dyip, in honor of Cabrera, wore no.2 patches on their jerseys for the second day of Leg 2.
“The whole Terrafirma Dyip family is full of hope that things would turn out fine for Terrafirma 3×3 player, Roider Cabrera,” said the team. “We would also like to thank from our hearts the first responders on the scene who took care of Roider, the medical workers and the whole PBA and PBA 3×3 family. Let us continue to include Roider and his family in our prayers.”
