MANILA, Philippines—Meralco bounced back from its Leg 1 runner-up finish and overcame Platinum Karaoke, 21-16, to take the Leg 2 title of the PBA 3×3 Thursday at Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig.

Joseph Sedurifa knocked down the long ball that sealed the Bolts’ title and the P100,000 check.

The Bolts had a strong start to the title game going up 12-4 following Alfred Batino’s fade away jumper.

Platinum, however, found its rhythm and got to within two, 18-16, after Karl Dehesa drilled a two-pointer to cap off a 12-6 run.

Sedurifa eventually put the Bolts within a basket of the championship as he drove for the layup for the 19-16 lead.

Tonino Gonzaga led the Bolts with seven points while Sedurifa added six, half of which proved to be the biggest ones of the game.

Dexter Maiquez and Batino pitched in five and three points, respectively, for Meralco.

Chris De Chavez carried Platinum with 11 points.

TNT, the Leg 1 winner, settled for the third place in Leg 2 after taking down Limitless, 21-14, in the bronze medal game.

The Bolts eliminated the Tropang Giga from the title race in the semifinals with a dominant 21-13 win to exact revenge from their Leg 1 heartbreak.
