B.League: Juan Gomez de Liaño limited in Tokyo Z loss to Yamagata

MANILA, Philippines—Tokyo Z and Juan Gomez de Liaño couldn’t replicate their earlier success as they fell to Yamagata in their seconds straight meeting, 77-62, in the 2021-22 Japan B.League Division 2 Tuesday at Omori Sports Center in Tokyo.
The Earthfriends came off a successful first run against the Wyverns, 72-63, on Monday but the loss on Tuesday meant that they split their games in Week 9.
Orlando Sanchez and Javad Williams had 15 points apiece to lead Yamagata while Murakami Shunto added 13 points.
Joshua Crawford led Tokyo Z with 19 points and nine rebounds while fellow big man Mark Noelia added 17 points, nine boards, and five assists.
Gomez de Liaño had two points and one rebound in 9:45 of play.
Tokyo Z slipped to a miserable 2-15 record while the Wyverns improved to 11-6.
