Teams that swept their way to the Final Four attempt to bring their spotless records to the finals as they tackle dangerous foes on Friday in the PNVF Champions League (CL) men’s championships at Aquamarine Recreation Center in Lipa City.

Top-ranked Go For Gold (GFG)-Philippine Air Force (PAF) and Team Dasma slug it out with Global Remit and Manileño, seeking to sustain fiery elimination round performances and set up a title clash.

The Aguilas lorded it over the previous round, as the system of national team coach Dante Alinsunurin has allowed the club to dismantle every foe that stood in the way with Philippine squad standouts like John Vic de Guzman and Mark Alfafara leading the way.

“We don’t look at individual talents anymore,” said De Guzman, also the national team skipper. “The important thing is to contribute something to the team effort.”

GFG-Air Force is the heavy favorite to win the first ever CL Trophy.

Global lost its first two matches in the prelims before crushing MRT-Negros for a semifinal ticket against the Aguilas. They are listed as the heavy underdogs in the 1:30 p.m. contest.

Team Dasma and Manileño clash in the 4 p.m. game.
