MANILA, Philippines—TNT forward Jeremiah Gray will be out for the foreseeable future in the PBA 3×3 tournament after he suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in his left knee.
Tropang Giga team manager Gabby Cui confirmed the injury and that Martin Gozum will replace Gray in the lineup.
Gray sustained the injury during a third leg game against the Limitless Appmasters after he landed awkwardly following a two-handed dunk.
The 6-foot-5 forward sat out the rest of the game and the whole third leg as TNT failed to enter the knockout stage for the first time in the tournament.
Gray was instrumental in the Tropang Giga’s campaign helping the team win the Leg 1 title and finish third in Leg 2.
Gozum, drafted by TNT in the fifth round of the 2020 Draft, will join Almond Vosotros, Samboy De Leon, and Lervin Flores in Leg 4 of the competition.
The fourth leg of the tournament will tip off on Saturday.
