MANILA, Philippines—Bobby Ray Parks Jr. starred for Nagoya as they fended off Shimane, 82-73, in the West Conference of the 2021-22 Japan B.League season Saturday at Dolphins Arena in Aichi.

The Filipino wingman finished with 20 points and four rebounds to propel the Diamond Dolphins to their second straight win and an 8-6 record for the fifth seed in the conference while the Susanoo Magic stayed at second with a 10-4 card.

Nagoya held a slim 70-69 lead with 4:29 left in the game but Saito Takumi drilled back-to-back baskets to cap off a 7-0 run for the 77-69 lead with 1:25 to play.

Parks then drilled a three-pointer for the 80-71 lead effectively closing the game with 47 seconds remaining.

Saito and Coty Clarke added 14 points apiece for the Diamond Dolphins while Scott Eatherton pitched in 11 points, 10 rebounds, five assists, and one block.

Reid Travis led Shimane with 22 points and 10 rebounds.
