B.League: Dwight Ramos’ near triple-double pushes Toyama past Kiefer Ravena, Shiga

MANILA, Philippines—Dwight Ramos nearly finished with a triple-double, helping Toyama to its second straight win over Shiga and Kiefer Ravena, 95-90, in the West Conference of the 2021-22 Japan B.League season Sunday at Ukaruchan Arena on Otsu.

The 6-foot-4 point guard finished with 14 points, eight rebounds, 10 assists, two steals, and one block as the Grouses improved to a 6-12 record, tying the Lakestars for eighth in the conference.

Ovie Soko had 20 points, eight rebounds, and seven assists for Shiga while Ravena added 13 points and five assists as they dropped their ninth straight game.

Ibaraki scored a stunning 88-85 win over Shimane in its inter-conference meeting at the Robots’ home court of Adastria Mito Arena.

The Robots moved to the 10th seed of the East Conference at 3-15 while the Susanoo Magic is tied with Mikawa at the second spot of the West at 12-6.

Hirao Atsunobu led Ibaraki with 24 points and nine assists.

Niigata and Kobe Paras hit a devastating mark of 15 straight losses as they got lost to the Sunrockers, 97-72, Aoyama Gakuin Memorial Hall in Tokyo.

The Albirex BB now hold sole possession of the East’s 11th seed at 2-16.

Rosco Allen had 19 points and seven rebounds for Niigata while Paras finished with two points.

Shinshu and Matthew Aquino lost to Gunma once again, 66-65, in their inter-conference matchup at Ota City General Gymnasium in Tokyo.
