PH to host 12th Asean School Games

The 12th Association of Southeast Asian Nations (Asean) School Games, an annual athletic meet for high schools, will push through in the Philippines next year, the Department of Education said on Wednesday.

The Philippines expressed interest in hosting the 2022 Asean School Games during the consultative meeting with the Asean School Sports Council in March.

The original host was supposed to be Vietnam.

The local government of Dumaguete City will host the event that was originally scheduled to start in November last year but was postponed due to the pandemic. —JANE BAUTISTA
