Kai Sotto out of injured list, set to make NBL debut

MANILA, Philippines—Kai Sotto is set to make his National Basketball League debut for Adelaide on Saturday against Cairns.

The 36ers announced that the 19-year-old center has been added to the active roster that would take on the Taipans at Cairns Convention Center.

Sotto has been out of Adelaide’s lineup since the preseason and he only saw one game during the Blitz tournament when he had seven points and five rebounds in their 91-87 win over the Taipans back in Nov. 14.

The team said he had been dealing with knee soreness.

Adelaide has so far split its first four games and has won two straight against Tasmania, 83-80, and New Zealand, 98-85.

Guard Sunday Dech is still out of the lineup due to a quadricep injury allowing forward Nick Marshall to remain in the roster as the team’s injury replacement.

The 36ers sit at the fourth seed while Cairns, which has a 1-1 record, is at sixth.
