Alaska extends Blackwater’s woes, snaps two-game skid
MANILA, Philippines—Alaska took control in the second half to blow out Blackwater, 98-75, in the 2021 PBA Governors’ Cup Wednesday at Araneta Coliseum.
Five Aces scored in double figures led by Maverick Ahanmisi, who had a game-high 17 points on top of eight rebounds and two steals.
Article continues after this advertisementJeron Teng added 14 points and eight rebounds while Robbie Herndon and Mike Tolomia produced 12 points each for Alaska.
The Aces (3-2), who also drew 10 points from Ola Ashaolu, led by as many as 26 points on their way to snapping a two-game skid.
The Bossing stayed within striking distance in the first half before the Aces found their groove, extending a seven-point halftime lead to 20 thanks to a 21-8 surge.

Rashawn McCarthy scored 16 points for the Bossing.
