Garcia, Romeo lead FEU rout of Arellano, barges into quarters of Filoil Preseason Cup

MANILA, Philippines – RR Garcia and Terrence Romeo teamed up to power Far Eastern University over Arellano, 79-64, and into the quarterfinals of the 2012 FilOil Flying V Preseason Hanes Cup at the Arena in San Juan.

Garcia fired 25 points while Romeo unleashed 23 points on four-of-six from three.

“Their teamwork was good. They moved the ball well,” said FEU head coach Bert Flores.

The Tamaraws improved to 5-1 and jumped to second place in Group B behind unbeaten National University.

FEU ran out the gates as it led 21-7 after one and never looked back.

Isiah Ciriacruz paced the Chiefs with 18 points.
