SAN Sebastian and Perpetual Help dispute third place in the Shakey’s V-League today at the Filoil Flying V Arena in San Juan.
With Thai star Jeng Bualee keeping them on a roll, the Lady Stags try to close out the quarterfinals with another victory in the 6 p.m. match against the Lady Altas.
Both the Lady Stags and the Lady Altas have 4-2 records.
The winner will battle the second-ranked University of Santo Tomas (5-1), while the loser will clash with Ateneo (7-0), the unbeaten top seed, in the semifinals.
UST looks to sustain its momentum against the eliminated National University at 4 p.m., while tailenders Far Eastern University and Adamson hope to bow out with a win at 2 p.m.
Jeng took charge anew in leading the Lady Stags’ bid for the last semifinal berth just two days ago.
“We can always count on her in times like that,” San Sebastian coach Clint Malazo said of Jeng, who will be ranged against Perpetual’s Pornpimol Kunbang.
Last Tuesday, Jeng tallied 33 points as the Lady Stags rallied to beat the Lady Bulldogs. With a report from Rodolfo T. Lozada
