Marathon star Mary Joy Tabal ties the knot

MANILA, Philippines—Running since she was a kid, marathon star Mary Joy Tabal walked down the aisle for a change on Saturday.
Tabal, a Rio Olympian, tied the knot with Lieutenant Junior Grade Hector Dan Jimenez of the Philippine Navy at San Pedro Calungsod Chapel in Cebu.
“To everyone who graced us on our day of oneness in the presence of our Lord, THANK YOU! To those who made it and those who supported us spiritually and were absent due to reasonable situation, thank you so much!!!” Tabal wrote on her Facebook.

The couple got engaged in January 2021.
The 32-year-old Tabal won gold in the 2017 Southeast Asian Games in Kuala Lumpur and finished silver in the 2015 and 2019 edition of the Games.
