Jordan Clarkson’s Jazz host Filipino Heritage Night; Visiting Rockets win

MANILA, Philippines—Jordan Clarkson and Jalen Green met for the second time this NBA season as Utah celebrated Filipino Heritage at Vivint Arena in Salt Lake City with Houston in town.

The Rockets, the 15th seed in the Western Conference, stunned Clarkson and  Jazz, 116-111. Green, the 2021 second overall pick, had a meager line of seven points and five rebounds in their second straight win.

Clarkson, meanwhile, had 19 points, four rebounds, and four assists as the Jazz dropped to a 29-16 record at the fourth spot.

Clarkson mingled with Filipino fans in the stands and linked up with Green before tip off.  Both players have Filipino roots.

Houston also hosted the Filipino Heritage Night when Clarkson and the Jazz visited last October 28 at Toyota Center. Jazz won by blowout, 122-91.

In that game, th reigning Sixth Man of the Year dropped 16 points, six rebounds, and three assists to the rookie’s 13 points, three rebounds, and three assists.

Utah and Houston are now tied 1-1 in their four-game season series.
