MANILA, Philippines—Jenelyn Olsim will look to bounce back from her ONE Atomweight Grand Prix loss when she faces Malaysia’s Hayatun Jihin Radzuan at ONE: Bad Blood on February 11 in Singapore.

Olsim and Radzuan were supposed to tussle in ONE: Next Gen II in November in an alternate bout in the Atomweight Grand Prix but the the promotion made changes to the card with the Team Lakay prospect taking the place of Itsuki Hirata.

Her elevation to the tournament, however, ended in disappointing fashion as Olsim lost to Indian grappler Ritu Phogat.

Interestingly Olsim is once again replacing Hirata with the Japanese star pulling out of her fight against Radzuan due to injury.

“I had no idea that it was Itsuki who I will be replacing again. Maybe it’s a fortunate coincidence? Anyhow, I think she’s a great fighter and I wish her the best,” said Olsim (5-3).

While she found it amusing that she’ll be taking Hirata’s place again, Olsim is anything but in her preparation against Radzuan.

“My fight with Ritu taught me to be more focused, that I need to have that presence of mind and to execute the game plan in actuality. On the training aspect, nothing has changed. All I have to do now is to execute,” said Olsim,

“I can say that I really learned a lot from that loss, but that loss has made me way more driven and more aggressive. Like what coach Mark [Sangiao] always says, it’s either we win or we learn.”
