B.League: Nagoya, Parks win 3rd straight; Kobe Paras, Niigata fall anew

MANILA, Philippines—Nagoya and Bobby Ray Parks Jr. chalked up their third straight win as they held off Tokyo, 86-80, in a matchup of two contenders in the 2021-22 Japan B.League season Wednesday at Arena Tachikawa Tachihi.

The Diamond Dolphins maintained their spot at the second seed in the West with a 21-8 record after they tallied their 12th win in 13 games.

Saito Takumi led Nagoya with 20 points and six assists while Parks added 10 points, four rebounds, and one steal.

Jordan Taylor had 18 points to lead the Alvark as they slipped to a 21-8 record for the third spot in the East.

Niigata and Kobe Paras are still on their downward spiral as they fell to their 26th straight defeat losing to Hokkaido, 107-85, at Hokkai Kitayell in Sapporo.

The Albirex BB own the worst record in the East Conference, and in the league as well, as they sit at the 11th seed with a 2-27 record.

Jeff Ayres had 17 points to lead the Abirex BB while Paras pitched in 14 points on 5-of-9 shooting.

Shawn Long dominated for the Levanga with 32 points, 16 rebounds, four assists, and two blocks while De’mon Brooks had 23 points and 11 rebounds.

Hokkaido stayed at the seventh spot in the East with a 12-17 card.
