PBA: Kevin Ferrer signs two-year max extension with NorthPort

MANILA, Philippines—Kevin Ferrer has signed a new two-year maximum contract with the NorthPort Batang Pier.

The Batang Pier forward, who just had his church wedding with wife MM Belarmino days before, posted on social media to announce his commitment with the Batang Pier, the team he’s been with since 2019.

Agent Marvin Espiritu accompanied Ferrer in his the signing as team manager Bonnie Tan delivered the paperwork.

Ferrer, despite having a down year, has been an integral part of the Batang Pier’s system since his arrival.

A versatile forward who can guard multiple positions, Ferrer is the team’s resident disruptor on the defensive end.

Ferrer is averaging 3.8 points and 2.5 rebounds as Robert Bolick, Greg Slaughter, and Jamie Malonzo takes the bulk of the team’s offense.

The PBA Governors’ Cup, stalled due to the rise of cases in the country, will likely resume in the second week of February.
