Ramos is expected to enter to Gilas’ bubble in Lipa, Batangas on Saturday where he will join Ange Kouame, SJ Belangel, Will Navarro, Jaydee Tungcab, and Juan Gomez de Liaño as well as the TNT Tropang Giga in the preparation for the Asia Cup Qualifiers.
The 6-foot-4 guard thanked Toyama for its support and promised to represent not only Gilas in the Asia Cup Qualifiers but also his club.
“I’m excited to come back and play for the Philippines, represent my country, and also i’ll be representing Toyama as I go on and play my best over there,” said Ramos in a video posted on the Grouses’ Twitter page.
Ramos has averaged 9.8 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 1.9 assists to help Toyama get to the eighth spot in the West Conference with a 13-20 record.
“I hope I can make the team proud and that they see me play over there in the Philippines,” said Ramos. “I will represent the B.league, Toyama while I play for my country.”
