The Elasto Painters gave the former Ateneo star and national team player a two-year contract after he was selected in the special draft in 2019.
“Welcome to the team @bigmikenieto!” posted the team.
“Mike Nieto was drafted by the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters as the 5th pick in the 2019 Gilas Special Draft. Today, he signed a two-year deal to join the team’s roster. Looking forward to the energy you bring in-game, and even in practice!”
Nieto was one of the five Gilas players who left the national team system after their contracts expired on January 31.
