MANILA, Philippines—Mark Espejo remained perfect against Bryan Bagunas this season as FC Tokyo stopped Oita Miyoshi, 26-24, 22-25, 31-29, 25-20, in the 2021-22 Japan V.League Sunday at Sumida Ward General Gymnasium.
FC Tokyo improved to 4-0 against the Weisse Adler and 8-16 overall for the eighth seed in the standings.
Oita Miyoshi, meanwhile, is in ninth place with a 5-19 card.
Yuma Nagatomo and Jonas Kvalen led FC Tokyo with 22 points apiece while Espejo finished with nine points.
Bagunas followed up his 22-point outing on Saturday with 21 points to lead Oita Miyoshi while Emerson Rodriguez added 19 points.
FC Tokyo will take on the Wolfdogs Nagoya next on February 19 and 20 on its home floor while the Weisse Adler face the Toray Arrows at Mishima City Gymnasium in Shizuoka on the same dates.
