FILIPINO-AMERICAN Ana Julaton’s victory over Mexican Yolanda Segura in Yucatan, Mexico, will be aired today by GMA Channel 7 starting at 11:05 a.m.
Julaton rebounded from losing her WBO female super bantamweight crown to Yesica in March, dominating Segura from the start in the match billed, “Laban ng Lahi presents Bagyo Sa Mexico 2: Ana Julaton versus Yolanda Segura.”
The win raised Julaton’s record to 10 wins and three losses with one knockout and put her back on track for another crack at the title.
Segura failed to unleash her power punches and yielded the 10-round fight by unanimous decision. Segura fell to 8-4 with seven knockouts.
