Perpetual Help ends FilOil campaign with win over UE
MANILA, Philippines—Perpetual Help survived the scare of another third-quarter meltdown to turn back University of the East, 83-76, Monday in the 2012 FilOil Flying V Preseason Hanes Cup at The Arena in San Juan city.
The Altas saw their double-digit lead cut to two, 42-40, after a relentless 10-0 run by the Red Warriors capped by a Roy Sumang triple.
“Every time the third quarter comes we always have a slow start,” said Perpetual coach Lester del Rosario, whose squad wound up with a 2-6 record to end its FilOil campaign.

Sumang ended up with 15 points, nine rebounds and five assists to lead UE.
