San Miguel claims first PBA 3×3 title with win over Ginebra
MANILA, Philippines—San Miguel claimed its first PBA 3×3 title after turning back Barangay Ginebra, 21-15, in the finals of the tournament’s second leg Sunday at Smart Araneta Coliseum.
The Beermen built an early 14-4 lead after Ken Bono set up a Moncrief Rogado two-pointer.
Article continues after this advertisementThe Gin Kings mounted a late comeback getting to within four, 19-15, after Encho Serrano drilled a jumper but it was San Miguel’s title to take.
But Jeff Manday quickly countered Serrano’s jumper with his own and Bacon Austria finished things off with a layup with 2:12 to spare.

Manday led the Beermen with 13 points while Austria and Bono scored three apiece with Rogado tallying a lone two-point field goal in the match.
Dennis Villamor had seven points to lead Ginebra.
Bono, Manday, Austria, and Rogado won the top prize of P100,000 for the second leg.
Limitless, the grand winner of the first conference, took third place this leg beating Pioneer 21-13.
