MANILA, Philippines—Shiga and Kiefer Ravena dropped their fourth straight game after losing to league leader Ryukyu, 82-73, at home in the Japan B.League Sunday at Ukaruchan Arena in Otsu.
The loss sent the Lakestars, who took a 98-84 setback at the hands of Ryukyu on Saturday, to a 10-21 record at the ninth seed of the table while the Golden Kings improved to 28-3.
Ryukyu built a 13-point lead, 60-47, after a Jack Cooley put back off an Allen Durham missed free throw that capped off a 15-2 run with 3:10 remaining in the third.
The Golden Kings began to pull away in the second quarter with Cooley cleaning up his own miss to put his team up 12, 40-28, as part of 13-1 surge with 2:32 to remaining in the first half.

Dwayne Evans had a game-high 23 points with seven rebounds, four assists and two steals to lead Ryukyu while Cooley added 15 points and five boards off the bench.
Sean O’mara led Shiga with 19 points and 13 rebounds while Ravena added 14 points.
Niigata and Kobe Paras couldn’t avoid a weekend sweep as they once again fell to Akita, 71-67, in the East Conference at Noshiro City Gymnasium.
The Albirex BB also lost to the Northern Happinets, 92-76, on Saturday and have now fallen to a 5-31 record in the ladder.
Akita, meanwhile, improved to 22-12 for the third seed.
Paras finished with a game-high 17 points for Niigata while Tshilidzi Nephawe had a 12-point, 13-reboound double-double.
Taguchi Shigehiro led the Northern Happinets with 15 points.
