MANILA, Philippines—Jimuel Pacquiao has no plans of slowing down.
Pacquiao, the eldest son of Filipino boxing legend Manny Pacquiao, had a triumphant United States debut as an amateur.
“[I feel] Good. I just need to get better. I just want to get back in there and stay as active as possible,” the younger Pacquiao told ES News.
The 21-year-old earned a decision win over Andres Rosales in a junior welterweight fight on Sunday at House of Boxing Gym in San Diego, California.
“It’s pressure, you know, I didn’t expect it at all,” said Jimuel, who fought under the guidance of Marvin Somodio. “It was a good experience.
“Competition is different from regular sparring. I felt it right there.”
Jimuel, who has been training in the United States, obtained a boxing license last December.
