MANILA, Philippines–F2 Logistics survived a third-set ambush try by Black Mamba Army to preserve a 25-15, 25-18, 21-25, 25-22, triumph Wednesday and kick off its campaign in the Premier Volleyball League Open Conference at Paco Arena in Manila.

Debuting in only the league’s second professional season, the Cargo Movers quickly held the Lady Troopers in their stranglehold in the opening two sets. But just as they thought they could cruise to a straight sets victory, they encountered an enemy not willing to yield that easy.

Kim Kiana Dy, who topscored with 20 points, hammered two of the games’ last five points to finally secure F2 Logistics’ victory and make sure it marked its first pro match in the win column.
