MANILA, Philippines — Bobby Ray Parks Jr. and Thirdy Ravena were limited in scoring but their respective teams still captured convincing victories in separate 2021-22 Japan B.League matches on Sunday.
Parks only scored six but delivered the crucial four-point play down the stretch as Nagoya took down Shinshu, 81-76, at Dolphins’ Arena.

The 29-year-old guard, who only shot 2-of-10 from the field, drilled a crucial four-point play that gave the Diamond Dolphins a 76-68 breather with 4:15 to play. He also tallied three rebounds, one assist and a block coming off the bench.
Coty Clarke led Nagoya with 18 points, eight rebounds and three steals. Tenketsu Harimoto delivered 16 markers, while Ovie Soko added 15 as their team improved to 24-10 in the sixth place
Ko Kumagai and Wayne Marshall paced Shinshu with 18 points each, absorbing their third consecutive defeat with a 19-22 record.
Ravena, on the other hand, was held to just four points in San-en NeoPhoenix’s 82-68 conquest over Yokohama B-Corsairs at Toyohashi City Gymnasium.
The 6-foot-3 guard missed six of his eight attempts from the field but his three assists, two rebounds, and two steals were enough to help San-En bounce back from a 68-79 loss to Yokohama on Saturday.
Robert Carter led the NeoPhoenix’s vengeful win with an all-around performance 20 points, 10 rebounds, five assists, and five steals. Elias Harris added 16 markers, nine boards and four assists.
San-En improved to 8-31 still in the 21st spot while sending Yokohama to 14-26 in the 16th.
Meanwhile, Dwight Ramos tallied 18 points, five rebounds and three steals but Toyama Grouses fell to Shimane Susanoo Magic, 76-87, in their home game.
Seiya Ando once again torched Toyama (16-26) with 21 points from his six triples as Perrin Buford delivered a triple-double 20 points, 14 rebounds, and 12 assists to lift Shimane to complete a weekend sweep for 30-10 card in the fifth place.
Kiefer Ravena and Shiga suffered another blowout, this time to Kyoto, 57-79, at YMIT Arena.
Ravena posted seven points, two steals, a rebound and an assist in the Lakestars ‘(10-26) ninth straight loss as David Simon dropped 20 markers, 10 rebounds and five assists for Kyoto (11-29).
The Ibaraki Robots were also triumphant after overcoming Kobe Paras’ 16-point effort for Niigata Albirex BB, 79-76, at Adastria Mito Arena.
Eric Jacobsen posted a double-double 21 points and 16 rebounds double-double, while Filipino Javi Gomez de Liano was scoreless in one minute and 32 seconds but Ibaraki (11-28) escaped the gallant stand of his compatriot and Niigata (5-35).
