MANILA, Philippines — Bobby Ray Parks Jr. delivered a clutch three-pointer down the stretch to secure Nagoya’s 89-84 victory over Kawasaki in the 2021-22 B.League season on Saturday at Todoroki Arena.
Parks delivered 15 points off the bench, highlighted by a dagger trey that regained the winning ways of the Diamond Dolphins, who improved to a 25-11 record.
Coty Clarke showed the way for Nagoya with 16 points, four assists, and three rebounds, while Scott Eatherton had a near triple-double performance with 14 points, 18 rebounds, and seven assists to end Kawasaki’s six-game winning streak.
Matt Janning had 21 points as Kawasaki slid to 31-11.
Meanwhile, Dwight Ramos missed a potential game-winner as Toyama Grouses fell to Osaka Evessa, 88-89, at Ookini Arena Maishima.
Ramos had 10 points, four rebounds, and four assists but missed the game-winning triple as his team absorbed its sixth straight loss, falling to 16-28.
Kiefer Ravena returned to action after serving a one-game suspension but the Shiga Lakestars succumbed to the Utsunomiya Brex with a lopsided 65-102 defeat at Brex Arena.
Ravena tallied 12 points and seven rebounds but Shiga lost for the 11th consecutive match, sliding to 10-28.
His younger brother, Thirdy and the San-En NeoPhoenix also yielded to Shimane Susanoo Magic, 71-87, at Hamamatsu Arena.
The 6-foot-3 guard was limited to five points, two rebounds and two assists as his team dropped to an 8-32 card.
Javi Gomez de Liano, who was scoreless in one minute and 52 seconds of play, saw Ibaraki Robots’ five-game winning streak ended by SunRockers Shibuya, 76-85, as they slid to a 12-29 record.
Matthew Aquino played extended 11 minutes and posted two points and three rebounds but Shinshu (20-23) fell short to Ryukyu Golden Kings with a 84-87 heartbreaker at White Ring Arena.
