PVL: Cignal gets back at Choco Mucho in bronze battle

MANILA, Philippines–Cignal HD bested Choco Mucho, 25-18, 27-25, 23-25, 25-17, Friday to equalize the best-of-three series for bronze medal in the Premier Volleyball League Open Conference at Ynares Centre in Antipolo.
Rachel Anne Daquis scored 18 points for the HD Spikers who recovered from a stinging loss in Game 1 to stay alive for third place.
Cignal and Choco Mucho will go for a winner-take-all Game 3 on Sunday.
However, if the Creamline ends up winning the title in Game 2 of the finals series with PetroGazz late Friday, the battle for third place will be resolved via quotient system.
As it stands, the HD Spikers and the Flying Titans each have four sets after two matches.
