MANILA, Philippines — Kiefer Ravena led the Shiga Lakestars to their second straight victory after asserting their mastery of Osaka Evessa, 88-78, in Japan B.League on Sunday at Ukaruchan Arena.

Ravena scored eight of his 14 points in the fourth quarter and tallied nine assists and two steals to give Shiga its first back-to-back wins in four months since sweeping Kobe Paras and the Niigata Albirex BB back last December 25 and 26.

On Saturday, the Filipino guard sank the clutch free throws to end the Lakestars’ 16-game skid with a 79-78 win over Evessa.

Novar Gadson showed the way for Shiga with 29 points and nine rebounds. Teppei Kashiwagura finished with 18 points from three triples on top of four assists and three rebounds.

Shiga improved to 12-33 card while sending Osaka to its third straight defeat, falling to 20-26.

Kyle Hunt carried Evessa with 20 points, eight rebounds, and three assists.

Meanwhile, Dwight Ramos and Thirdy Ravena were sidelined anew for their respective squads as the Toyama Grouses beat San-En NeoPhoenix, 93-86, for their fourth straight victory.

Brice Johnson lifted Toyama with 24 points, 12 rebounds and four assists as Joshua Smith tallied 16 points, seven rebounds and two steals to help his team improve to 20-29.

Elias Harris’ 34-point explosion went for naught as San-En fell to 8-39.
